Patient Attacks Nurses – HOT SPRINGS

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

Monday Morning, Hot Springs Police were called to the Levi Hospital in reference to a disorderly person.

When the officers arrived they spoke with hospital staff.

The staff told the officers that the suspect which was a patient had been involved in a dispute with another patient earlier that morning.

The suspect had to be restrained.

A short time later the suspect was allegedly about to cause another disturbance in the hospital.

When hospital staff stepped in to intervene and try to talk to the suspect, the suspect allegedly hit a nurse causing an injury to his nose.

The hospital staff then attempted to place the suspect in a segregation room at which time she allegedly attacked a second nurse by rushing the nurse and grabbing her hair.

The suspect allegedly grabbed the nurse’s hair with such force, she pulled a small patch of hair from the nurse’s head.

Due to the nature of the attack, the victims being medical professionals, and the injuries sustained to the nurses the officers placed Amber Knight into custody.

The suspect was taken to the Garland County Detention Center where she was charged with two counts of Felony Second Degree Battery
