Parolee Allegedly Checks In At Parole Office With Meth Pipes; Felony Arrest – HOT SPRINGS

All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.

Arkansas Community Correction Parole Officer Simms advised Hot Springs Police that Parolee Julia Claire Puckett, 28, of Raithwood Drive in Garland County, arrived at the parole office to perform community service as part of her sentence on a recent conviction.  Parolee Puckett signed a search waiver as part of her parole agreement.  Off. Simms searched her purse and allegedly discovered 2 glass smoking pipes with burnt crystalline substance inside and butane torches commonly used to smoke illegal drugs.

HSPD Officer Greene was dispatched to investigate.  He agreed with Off. Simms observations and arrested Parolee Puckett.

Julia Puckett, 28, of Raithwood Drive in Garland County allegedly showed up to do community service with 2 meth pipes and butane torches.

Parolee Puckett was arrested and transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing. She was charged with Felony Drug Paraphernalia Possession and her bond amount is $2500.
