Fountain Lake Fire Troops were dispatched  to a commercial structure fire at the Park
Avenue Flea Market in the 3000 Block of Park Avenue Thursday Afternoon.

Smoke and flames were seen coming out of the “C” building by fire troops arriving on scene.

A command post was established by Fountain Lake Fire Chief Steven Burroughs and additional Fire Departments were called for assistance.

Jessieville Fire Troops were quick to respond with fire trucks and man power.  Morning Star Fire Troops also responded with an engine, man power, and their  ladder truck.  Hot Springs Fire Troops responded with man power, an engine, and their ladder truck.

LifeNet  dispatched an Ambulance Crew to the scene for standby duty.

No injuries were reported that I am aware of.

The Garland County Sheriff’s Patrol and Arkansas State Police Troopers also responded and assisted with
traffic control and other duties.

Piney and Lake Hamilton Fire Troops also responded shortly after I departed the
scene.

Traffic on Park Avenue was diverted down Fox Pass Road and Sleepy Valley Road.

Park Avenue was closed in this area for approximately 4 ½ hours.
