Hot Springs Police Officers Samuels and Plummer responded to a disturbance in the front parking lot of the Hot Springs Police Building earlier this week.
The officers met with the complainant/victim. He allegedly said that his wife had been absent from their home for approximately 3 days. She called him earlier in the evening to pick her up. She got in the car and appeared to be under the influence. The victim said that she began throwing items at him as he was driving the car which prompted him to pull into the HSPD Parking Lot for help.
Officers allegedly observed the suspect to have slurred speech, red and watery eyes, her movements were reported to be “very sporadic” and she was extremely unsteady on her feet. Officers believed the wife to be a danger to herself and others. She was arrested and transported to the Garland County Detention Center.
During the booking process, 2 baggies containing 1.3 grams of (what officers believe to be) meth allegedly fell out of her bra. The suspect allegedly spontaneously said “It’s meth, I did it, you caught me”.
The wife is charged with Felony Possession Of Meth and Public Intoxication with a bond amount totaling $3,000.
