NPMC Survival Flight Crew Responds To Rollover Crash On Rushfork Rd. – GARLAND COUNTY

Garland County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputy Crow investigated a single vehicle rollover injury crash on Rushfork Road near Kight Trail last night around 10PM.

Evidence at the scene suggested that the northbound passenger vehicle exited the right side of the pavement, rotated in the tall grass, tripped, rolled over at least once and came to final rest on top of an occupant of the vehicle that had been ejected.

Deputy Crow said that he arrived to find the closest neighbor to the crash at the scene with a pry bar trying to keep the weight of the car off of the trapped patient.  He said that this neighbor provided great help during this event.

Arkansas Constables arrived quickly, assisted as needed and took charge of directing traffic.

70 West Fire & Rescue Troops, led by Chief Autumn Carlisle, arrived quickly with enough troops and gear to handle the job.

LifeNet dispatched 2 Ambulance Crews, the EMS Supervisor and the National Park Medical Center Survival Flight Crew.  1 patient was transported by helicopter to and 1 patient was transported by ambulance to the hospital.

Ernie’s Wrecker Service took charge of the vehicle and removed it from the scene.

Traffic flow was interrupted for approximately 1 hour.
