2018 IRS Refund Schedule

All suspect are presumed  innocent until proven guilty in court.

Hot Springs Police Officer Gates was on patrol in the 3200 Block of Central Avenue when he allegedly saw the operator of a mid sized white Chevrolet SUV driving without a seatbelt last month.  Off. Gates stopped the vehicle at Regions Bank.

Off. Gates made contact with the driver, Jeremy Welshons, 28, of Pine Bluff.  Mr. Welshons provided Off. Gates with an Arkansas Identification Card and allegedly advised that his license was currently suspended. A police computer check confirmed that his DL was suspended.

Citations were written for No Seatbelt and Driving On A Suspended Driver’s License.  When Off. Gates issued the tickets, he allegedly observed that Mr. Welshons was acting very nervous and appeared to be visibly shaking.  The officer asked if there was anything illegal inside the vehicle.  Mr. Welshons allegedly stated he had some marijuana in a bag along with a “grinder” and some scales.

A search of the vehicle revealed a Crown Royal bag in the backseat floorboard that allegedly contained two jars of marijuana, a set of digital scales, a grinder, rolling papers, and metal tray.

Mr. Welshons was arrested and transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.  The total weight of the alleged marijuana is 15.3 grams.  Mr. Welshons is charged with Felony Possession Of A  Controlled Substance with Purpose To Deliver with a bond of $2,500.
