Arkansas State Trooper R. Wingo reports the following:
On February 25th, 2019 at approximately 12:20PM, I witnessed a green Ford Explorer with the driver not wearing his seatbelt. The vehicle was traveling northbound on Central Ave. I got behind the vehicle and activated my emergency lights to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle.
I approached the driver of the vehicle and informed him why I had stopped him. I asked for his license and vehicle information. I also asked the passenger for her license. The driver handed me a driver’s license identifying him and the passenger handed me an ID card that identified her as Stephanie Gee.
A computer check on the driver showed him to be an active supervision probationer with a search waiver on file. Mrs. Gee showed to be suspended with an active warrant from Bryant PD. I had Troop K dispatch confirm the warrant as I took Mrs. Gee into custody. I also detained the driver to search the vehicle.
While searching the vehicle I located a Pepsi can with a syringe cap in the open top in the passenger floor board. Under the cap was a used syringe. I also located a baggie with approximately 0.6g of crystal substance that later field tested positive for methamphetamine located in Mrs. Gee’s purse in the passenger floor board.
The driver was cited and released for no seatbelt and no liability insurance.
Mrs. Gee was arrested for Felony Possession Of A Controlled Substance and Felony Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia. She has since bonded out, forfeited her bond, and was arrested again this week for Failure To Appear on these charges.
