Man Allegedly Breaks Into Car He Thought Was His; Felony Arrest – HOT SPRINGS

Hot Springs Police Officer Werst reports the following:

On 07/07/19 at approximately 0019 hours, I, (Officer T. Werst #155), responded to 2705 Central Avenue (Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort) in reference to a breaking or entering.

Upon arrival, I made contact with the suspect, Kenneth West III who stated he thought the white 2010 Hyundai Elantra that he broke into was his.  The owner of the Hyundai stated he did not know Kenneth West III and he was not supposed to be in the Hyundai.

Kenneth West III stated he thought his keys were locked in the vehicle, so Kenneth pried on the passenger side door, causing the window, worth approximately $150, to break.  Kenneth West III then entered the vehicle to search for his keys.

Kenneth Lee West III, 35, of South Highway 27 in Rover – allegedly broke into a car thinking it was his.

The owner of the vehicle also advised his inner driver side door handle, worth approximately $100, was broken.

The witness stated he heard the window break.  The witness advised when he turned around he observed Kenneth West III open the passenger door of the Hyundai.

Mr. West III was arrested, transported to Garland County Detention Center for processing, and charged with Felony Breaking Or Entering and Criminal Mischief – Second Degree with a bond amount totaling $3,250.
