Evidence at the scene suggested that the Westbound BMW SUV crossed the center turn lane and struck the front driver’s fender of the Eastbound pick-up truck.  The front driver’s side wheel was sheared off of the truck at impact.  The truck came to final rest in the westbound lanes.  The BMW continued Westbound for approximately 60 yards before stopping.

Piney Fire & Rescue Troops arrived quickly.  They took charge of traffic control and otherwise assisted as needed.

LifeNet dispatched an Ambulance Crew to the scene.  They met with occupants involved in the crash.  It is un know to me whether anyone was transported to the hospital.

Traffic flow was interrupted for approximately 45 minutes.
