Hot Springs Police Detective Anaya reports the following:
On 09/13/19 at approximately 06:05 hours, I, Det. Jjesus Anaya 160, along with Detectives from the Hot Springs Police Department Special Investigations Unit and the Garland County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations executed a narcotics search warrant at 1496 Fox Pass Cut Off with the assistance of the Garland County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Response Team.
The Tactical Response Team, including Investigator Ellis, made contact with and/or located: a male suspect that exited the residence through the front door and then fled back into the residence shutting the front door, a female suspect in bedroom 1, described as the front bedroom, Donald Smith Jr. and a second female suspect in bedroom 2 described as the back bedroom. After securing the residence and the occupants, the residence was turned over to Detectives for the search.
In the bedroom, where Donald Smith was located, Detectives located the following items:
A black zipper bag containing two sets of digital scales, three syringes, two glass containers with methamphetamine residue, three baggies with methamphetamine residue, a broken glass smoking pipe, a glass jar with a white crystalline substance (methamphetamine weighing approximately 7.7 grams), 15 white round pills (identified as Clonazepam weighing approximately 3.6 grams), a bag containing an unknown brown grainy substance (weighing approximately 2.4 grams) and rolling papers.
A Western Field model M550CD, 20 gauge pump shotgun was located on a rack above the closet door. A Ruger model 10/22, 22 caliber semi-automatic rifle was located leaning against the nightstand next to the bed. There was a magazine in the Ruger loaded with 25 live rounds of 22 caliber ammunition. Hanging on the bedroom entry door was a Bushmaster .223/556 caliber semi-automatic rifle and a Canik model TP9 SA, 9mm caliber handgun. There was a magazine loaded with 29 live .223 rounds in the Bushmaster and a magazine with 18 live rounds of 9mm caliber ammunition in the Canik. Next to the closet leaning against the wall was a Stevens model 87D .22 caliber semi-automatic rifle. Inside the closet was a Browning Arms 12 gauge semi-automatic shotgun.
On the television stand in the bedroom, Detectives located a tin plate with two white crystalline chunks (methamphetamine weighing approximately 6.1 grams), another tin plate and glass plate with a white crystalline substance (methamphetamine weighing approximately 2.2 grams).
Detectives also located, assorted live rounds of 9mm, 20 gauge, and .22 caliber ammunition, $138.00 US currency, a glass smoking pipe, a red Motorola cellphone, and mail with Donald Ray Smith Jr.’s name and the address of 1496 Fox Pass Cut Off.
In the front bedroom closet, Detectives located a black zipper bag with a Hi-Standard model Dura-Metic .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun and magazine beside the firearm with 8 live rounds of .22 caliber ammunition.
In the living room there was a black iPhone.
In the garage, Detectives located a small silver four shot .22 caliber handgun. The handgun was loaded with four live rounds of .22 caliber ammunition. Detectives also located a silver bowl with a white crystalline substance (methamphetamine weighing approximately 0.1 grams).
A portion of the white crystalline substance was field tested and had a positive reaction for the presumptive identification of methamphetamine.
Mr. Smith was arrested and transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing. He is charged with Felony Simultaneous Possession Of Drugs And Firearms, Felony Possession Of Methamphetamine Or Cocaine With A Purpose To Deliver, Felony Possession Of Sch. IV/V With A Purpose To Deliver, Felony Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Felony Unauthorized Used Of Another Person’s Property To Facilitate A Crime, and Felony Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, with a bond amount totaling $100,000.
