Injury Crash..Car Hits Guard Rail – Royal

Arkansas State Police Corporal Garner investigated a single vehicle injury crash on Highway 270 West just west of the Brady Mountain Store last weekend.

Evidence at the scene showed that the small Chevrolet car was traveling east in a curve when it crossed the center line and struck the tip of the bridge’s guardrail before exiting the left side of the pavement and almost struck the tree line before coming to final rest on the grassy roadside adjacent to the bridge.

The Garland County Sheriff’s Patrol was quick to arrive and assisted as necessary.

Piney Fire & Rescue Troops arrived quickly and assisted as necessary which included taking charge of traffic control.

LifeNet dispatched an Ambulance Crew to the scene.  1 person with minor injury was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

Traffic flow was interrupted for approximately 45 minutes.
