Hot Springs Police investigated a crash this afternoon on West Grand Avenue at the Woodbine Street Intersection.

Evidence at the scene indicated that these 2 pickup trucks were involved in a T-bone collision at this intersection.  A witness at the scene told me that the black, unmarked police truck was traveling west on Grand Avenue when the grey truck pulled out in front of it.  Both vehicles came to final rest near the area of impact, adjacent to each other and blocking the street.  The grey truck went head on into a utility pole just before coming to final rest.

Hot Springs Fire & Rescue Troops arrived quickly and assisted as needed.

LifeNet dispatched an Ambulance Crew and the EMS Supervisor to the scene.  They had the officer in the ambulance for minor injury or check-up.  His condition was described to me as “a little shook up”.  It is unknown to me whether anyone was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

Traffic flow was interrupted for approximately 45 minutes.
