All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.

A Hot Springs Police Officer on patrol Saturday Night in the area of Valley Street ran the license plate on a vehicle in traffic.  HSPD Dispatch ran the plate number through the police computer and the return came back as stolen.  The officer turned on the blue lights to conduct a traffic stop.

The vehicle allegedly sped off and the pursuit began.  The suspect vehicle allegedly fled it’s way around Belding Street, Hobson Avenue (where a man reportedly armed with a firearm jumped out) Shady Grove Road and stopped in a yard, among the trees at the side of a residence on Woodridge Street.

A disorderly female was found in the car.  A police computer check of her revealed that she had at least 1 valid warrant for arrest.  She was arrested – charges unknown.

LifeNet dispatched 2 Ambulance Crews to the scene. They met with the female prisoner.  It is unknown to me whether anyone was transported from the scene by ambulance.

HSPD officers were conducting business around the scene as though a suspect may have fled through the woods on foot.  However, I have no information about that.
