A Hot Springs Police Officer on patrol witnessed an alleged traffic offense in the area of the Malvern Avenue/East Grand Avenue Intersection Sunday.  The officer attempted a traffic stop on the red Ford Taurus, but the driver refused to stop and fled.

The chase went in circles all through the area of Silver Street, Spring Street, Pleasant Street, Crescent Street, etc.  Finally, the suspect vehicle turned onto Waines Place.  The suspect vehicle shot through the front yard of the house; barely squeezing between a parked car and the front porch.  The suspect vehicle was then observed to go into the woods at the end of the dead end street and down a skinny, dirt trail.

All 4 of the occupants that were in the vehicle at the time of the pursuit fled from the car on foot.  3 of the suspects were captured very quickly.  The 4th suspect made it down the hill and across the creek to a property on Spring Street before being captured.  The suspects had an approximate quarter mile head start  when the foot chase began.

All 4 of the suspects were arrested and transported to the Garland County Juvenile Detention Center for processing.  2 of the suspects reportedly had house arrest ankle monitors on their ankles at the time of their arrest.

No injuries were reported during this event.

Juvenile suspects are not identified in crime reports.
