See the latest Arkansas Black Friday 2019 Sales.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

UPDATE 1/2/2018 0140: The suspect has been identified as Keith Dennis, 51.  He was transported to the Garland County Detention Center.  On top of the El Dorado charges mentioned below, his charges in Garland County are: Domestic Battery 3rd Degree and Failure TO Appear.

Parole Absconder Keith Dennis, 51, was arrested today after a very short foot chase at the Sands Motel.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

Hot Springs Police Sergeant L. Zaner and her dayshift patrol squad assisted law enforcement officers from Union County today with the capture of a wanted suspect.

The wanted suspect (name unknown to me) was spotted by law enforcement as he was riding in a vehicle in the area of Oaklawn Park.  Officers converged on the area and a felony traffic stop was conducted on Central Avenue at the Sands Motel.

Officers stopped the car and were conducting the high risk stop with the suspect when the he fled on foot.  HSPD Officers including the K-9 Team of  Officer Smith/Bear chased the fleeing absconder into an adjacent parking lot where they caught the suspect and made the arrest.

HSPD Sgt. L. Zaner took a minute to explain that this action was an agency assist and that an arrest had been made.

A witness at the scene said that the suspect was served with El Dorado warrants for  Stalking and Parole Absconding.

No injuries were reported in connection to this event that I am aware of.

Where the suspect was taken after being arrested is not known to me.  It is possible that he was immediately transported back to El Dorado.  His pic/info is not in the Garland County Sheriff’s Online Booking Files yet, and my not be if not charged with anything here.
