All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.

Hot Springs Fire & Rescue Troops responded to the call of a fully involved structure fire on Gibson Street last night around midnight.

Hot Springs Police arrived quickly and assisted as necessary.

HSFD sent at least 4 trucks and plenty of firefighters.  The structure was pretty much a complete loss before they even arrived.  The house directly next to this burning house very possibly got heat damage to it’s exterior.  Damaged or not, HSFD saved that neighbors house.

A neighbor witness at the scene told me that the house has been vacant.  It is unknown to me whether anyone was in the house when the fire started.  The cause of the fire is unknown to me.  This area sees a lot of homeless activity.

No injuries were reported in connection to this fire that I am aware of.

Side Note: I, the police and everybody else, heard gunfire (approximately 8 shots) when I arrived at the scene of this fire.  It seemed to be coming from a few blocks away.  HSPD investigated a few gunfire calls last night.

This part of Gibson Street was closed for at least 2 hours.
