House Fire On Woodlawn Avenue – HOT SPRINGS

2018 IRS Refund Schedule

Hot Springs Fire Troops were dispatched to the 200 Block of Woodlawn Avenue yesterday for the call of a structure fire.

When I arrived on scene, Hot Springs Police Sergeant Means and his crew had blocked traffic from entering the area of operation and several HSFD Trucks and Firefighters were already working.

Heavy smoke was coming from the residence as firefighters scrambled all around the yard, roof and inside the home.  The heavy smoke quickly went away as soon as the fire hoses were charged and water began flowing.

The home was occupied at the time the fire began.  The American Red Cross responded and assisted the displaced mother, 12 year old girl and 9 year old boy.  No injuries were reported that I am aware of.

The cause of the fire was still being investigated when I departed the scene.

Traffic flow was interrupted for at least 2 hours.
