Sunshine Village Square House Fire

Friday night at approximately 7:18 PM 70 West Firefighters were dispatched to a possible structure fire on Sunshine Village Square in Royal. Firefighters were quick to arrive since they were on a first responder call at the Sunshine Store just down the road.

First arriving unit confirmed it was a residential structure fire and that all occupants were out of the residence. There was fire showing through the roof on one side of the structure.

3 Engines, 1 Tanker and 14 Firefighters worked to quickly extinguish the fire.

The homeowners advised they had just arrived home and saw smoke coming from the house.

The fire was quickly brought under control and firefighters worked to extinguish hot spots for a while. The Arkansas Red Cross was contacted to provide assistance to the homeowners.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

70 West firefighters also responded to an injury traffic crash on Airport Road at Adcock and an electrical issue at the Pearcy Mall during the incident.
