Hot Springs SWAT Officers Association 1st Annual Golf Tournament – HOT SPRINGS

The newly formed Hot Springs SWAT Officers Association held its first fundraiser,  the 1st Annual Brian “BK” Keck Memorial Golf Tournament, Sunday September 8th, 2019 at the Hot Springs Country Club.

Twenty-four teams played in the 4 man scramble tournament that was organized by the Hot Springs SWAT Officers Association. The money raised from the tournament will go toward training and equipment needs of the Hot Springs SWAT officers.

The tournament team line up and AR-15 that will be raffled off on November 1st.

Kelly Watkins, Mike Moss, Nick Klatt, Tommy Daniel

A silent auction was also held during the tournament. Items up for bid included Chicago Cubs World Series Champion 3 ring box set, Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl 5 ring box set, an Arkansas Razorbacks BAGGO set, and a SWAT For A Day package.

Silent auction items included sports memorabilia, restaurant gift card package, and more.

Mini-games and extra prize incentives were set up all along the course. Hole #4, sponsored by Kennedy & Marni Underwood and Anaya Concrete, included the 149 yard drive contest. Badge #149 was Brian Keck’s badge number, and is now his son Jarret Cantrell’s badge number. Matt Scroggins hit closest to 149 yards and won a Glock 43 donated by the Hot Springs SWAT Officers Association.

Between holes #6 and #7, Anaya Concrete had a canopy set up with free snacks, refreshments, and gifts for all of the tournament players.

Hole #8 was sponsored by Gregg Orr Toyota, and had a 2019 Toyota Tundra up for grabs to the person that hit a Hole In One.

Hole #9 was sponsored by Mountain Valley Armory and Smith’s Ready Mix. Players had the option to Buy a Drive, where they could pay to hit their second shot from 150 yards.

Attorney Brian Johnson sponsored hole #11. He put up $1,000 to any player that could get a Hole in One.

The final contest was at the 18th hole. Sarah Bentley, with Meyers Realty, sponsored the Longest Drive Contest. The winner of that contest, Jim Thurston, won a weekend getaway at a condo on Lake Hamilton.
