Evidence at the scene showed that the westbound vehicle exited the right side of the pavement in the curve and immediately struck the tree head-on.  The car came to final rest off the roadway at the area of impact.  Heavy braking tire marks were deposited on the pavement just prior to the car leaving the pavement.

70 West Fire & Rescue Troops arrived quickly and assisted as needed.

LifeNet dispatched an Ambulance Crew to the scene.  The driver was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

Traffic flow was interrupted for approximately 45 minutes.
