Hot Springs Police were at Boot Scooters on Broadway when they heard gunfire last Saturday around 4AM.

David Myers,37 of Jacksonville – charged with firing a gun at people inside a popular night club

Boot Scooters Security had just broken up a fight and ejected David Myers,37 of Jacksonville, from the building through a side door.  Myers allegedly pulled out a .22 caliber pistol, came back to the door and fired 1 round at the people he was fighting with.  No one was injured by gunfire.

Boot Scooter Security Staff tackled Mr. Myers and detained him for HSPD; who was already on scene.

Officers allegedly removed a .22 caliber pistol with 1 spent cartridge from Myers’s possession.

Statements from witnesses and Boot Scooters security video footage are said to corroborate this report.

Mr. Myers was arrested and transported to the Garland County Detention Center.  He is charged with Felony Aggravated Assault and Misdemeanor Carrying A Prohibited Weapon with a bond amount totaling $8,500.
