From The Meth Files: Woman Flees From Traffic Stop With Parolee; Arrest x2 – GARLAND COUNTY

Arkansas State Police Trooper Wingo conducted a traffic stop on a black SUV on Highway 270 East at the Akers Road Valero yesterday.

During the course of the contact, Parolee Jason Andrew Rateliff, 44, of Silica Heights in Benton, was arrested and female passenger Laiklyn R. Pennock, 23 of Airport Road in Hot Springs, allegedly fled from the stop on foot.

Other ASP Troopers and Hot Springs Police Officers responded to the area to assist.  About 20 minutes after Ms. Pennock fled from the trooper, ASP Sergeant Steed found her about 1/4 mile east on the railroad tracks.  She was arrested and brought back to the scene where Trp. Wingo had already confiscated several syringes and a burnt spoon.

Parolee Rateliff is charged with Felony Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia x8, Felony Unauthorized Use Of Another Person’s Property To Facilitate A Crime, Obstructing Governmental Operations and  Driving On A Suspended DL with a bond amount totaling $26,000 and a Parole Hold.

Ms. Pennock is charged with Felony Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia x8, Felony Use Of Another Person’s Property To Facilitate A Crime, Obstructing Governmental Operations and Fleeing with a bond amount totaling $26,000.
