Hot Springs Police met with a woman at the HSPD Parking Lot yesterday mornin g around sun up for a report of a serious battery that had allegedly taken place just before she arrived to make the report.
The victim told police that she and her partner were arguing around midnight at their residence. The 2 went to bed. A short time later, she said that the man got up and began beating her with a child’s skateboard. Officers noted a large laceration on her head as well as bruising, swelling and redness where she identified being hit with the skateboard. A checkerboard imprint pattern was also noted in various parts of the victim’s body.
Officers responded to the residence to interview the suspect. They located and arrested Christopher Rocha, 30, of Hobson Avenue in Hot Springs. When officers searched Mr. Rocha, they allegedly discovered .4 grams of meth.
Mr. Rocha is charged with Felony Domestic Battery and Felony Possession Of A Controlled Substance with a bond of $6,000
