All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

Garland County K-9 Deputy Strickland was off duty in the area of Earnest Way last weekend when he allegedly observed at least 1 suspicious person in the curtilage space of a residence.  The deputy knew that the homeowner was out of town.

Dep. Strickland approached the unwelcome guest and was about to get to the bottom of it when the suspect suddenly fled on foot.  Dep. Strickland made contact with GCSO 911 Dispatch and deputies were dispatched to assist.

Deputies arrived quickly and were able to piece together enough witness information to determine that the suspect was inside his own residence on Springwood Road.

Deputies surrounded the residence and made contact with the suspect that was hiding inside.  The suspect surrendered at the front door and was arrested.
