All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.
Arkansas Community Corrections/Special Response Team Agent Brandon Emerson is happy to announce the capture of Parolee Richard Earl McCoy, 38 of Hot Springs.
Parolee McCoy was spotted by ACC/SRT Agents around 7:15 this morning outside of a residence on Sterling Circle in the county. As soon as agents made contact with McCoy, he jumped into a dark colored Acura car and fled back into the Fairwood Subdivision.
ACC/SRT chased the Acura onto Mountain Pine Road where the Garland County Sheriff’s Patrol joined the chase. Parolee McCoy allegedly traveled at high rates of speed and ran stop sign(s) in an attempt to avoid capture.
The suspect vehicle turned east on Blacksnake Road where he continued to flee until he lost control of the vehicle in the 700 Block. Parolee fled on foot into the woods. After a brief foot chase, Parolee McCoy was captured without further problems.
Parolee McCoy is charged with Felony Fleeing, Misdemeanor Fleeing, Failure To Appear and Parole Violation with a bond amount totaling $3,000, but is not going anywhere soon with that parole hold in place.
