Garland County Sheriff’s Patrol Sergeant Kellar developed information on a blue sedan believed to be in the area of Rod’s Pizza on Central Avenue. At least 1 of the occupants in that car were wanted on felony warrants.
Sgt. Kellar found the car and trailed them. As he did so, the people inside the suspect vehicle began to act suspiciously inside the car and the car was making suspicious movements in traffic, as if they were trying to lose, confuse or get away from the marked sheriff’s patrol truck.
The vehicle was observed pulling into O’Reilly’s Auto Parts Store and then backing into a parking spot at the front door. The occupants went inside. Sgt. Kellar ordered other sheriff cars to the area. Once everybody was close, they all pounced on ’em.
They snatched up the 1 guy on aisle 7, but the other guy hid in the bathroom. They rounded him up too after a couple of minutes. When they all exited the store, 1 of the suspects fell out and a LifeNet Ambulance Crew was ordered to the scene.
The suspect’s vehicle was found to be stolen as soon as the GCSO Dispatchers ran the license plate number.
The 1 suspect was detained for a short time and released at the scene. The other suspect was taken by ambulance to the hospital. He was released by the hospital a very short time later and was immediately arrested by deputies and transported to the Garland County Detention Center.
