Hot Springs Police were notified by a mini-mart district manager in September 2018 that an employee had stolen over $1,300 in merchandise and cash. Then, departed the store leaving it unattended.
The district manager said that the employee, Zachary Robert Nugent, 31 of parts unknown, called the store’s 24 hr manned surveillance service and told them to “watch the store”. He gave them the store manager’s name, number then abandoned the store.
The district manager reviewed the security footage from that night and reports that Mr. Nugent and his alleged girlfriend, Jessica Anne Dumas, 21, of Dexter Street in Hot Springs, stole $855 in cash and $490 worth of merchandise before resigning his post.
An arrest warrant charging Theft Of Property was sworn out and filed into the police computer to be served the next time law enforcement came into contact with Mr. Nugent.
