Evidence at the scene showed that the southbound Jeep came out of it’s lane and struck the median divider, hopped the curb, slammed into a large landscape boulder and came to final rest on 2 wheels.

The impact activated the vehicle’s airbags.  A trusted witness at the scene told me that when the police arrived and made contact with the driver, she allegedly attempted to order a drink; thinking that the officer was the bartender.

No injuries were reported.

The driver, Maleny Herrera Mayen, 26, was arrested and charged with DWI.  Her bond amount totaled $1,000.
