The dump truck was traveling down the highway when it entered the grassy median.  The truck immediately struck the highway safety cable barrier which is designed to keep vehicles from crossing the median and striking traffic head-on traveling in the opposite direction.  The cable barrier did its job.

In doing so, the cables became wrapped around the trucks wheels.  Tillery’s Towing Troops were called to straighten out the situation.  It took some doing to get those cables free, but they made it happen.

Arkansas Department of Transportation Troops came out and helped to get the cables out from around the axles.

No injuries were reported that I am aware of.

Traffic flow was interrupted for at least 2 hours.
