The IRS just announced the first day of Tax Season 2020. Details here
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
Garland County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputy Green was dispatched to Leflore Street in Mountain Pine Wednesday Night around midnight for the call of a disorderly man beating on house windows, vehicles and at least 1 person.
Dep. Green arrived and was quickly confronted by the alleged irrational suspect who was allegedly swinging a board around. The board had nails driven through it which amounted to several little spikes sticking out of the, now, weapon. The suspect, Arthur Lewis Honey, 59 of Mountain Pine, allegedly charged the deputy in a way that made the deputy think that he was about to be attacked with that board. Deputy Green pulled his tazer and launched the business end of it at the suspect. The suspect was subdued and arrested.
Garland County Sheriff’s Patrol Sergeant Kellar arrived quickly to assist as well as Arkansas State Police Sergeant Joe.
Mountain Pine Fire & Rescue Troops arrived quickly and assisted with patient care.
LifeNet dispatched an Ambulance Crew to the scene. They took charge of the patient and transported him to the hospital in order to remove the tazer hook from his neck.
Mr. Honey is charged with Felony Domestic Battery, Felony Terroristic Threatening and Resisting Arrest with a bond amount totaling $3,500 and a no bond hold for the Battery charge.
