Convicted Felon..Intoxicated And Waving A Gun Around – HOT SPRINGS

Hot Springs Police Officer Murray was dispatched to the 3800 block of Central Avenue last month for the call of a man waving a gun around.

Convicted Felon Doyle Scott, 48 of Hot Springs – keeps being charged with possessing guns (it is illegal for felons to possess firearms in Arkansas)

Off. Murray located the man already with his hands in the air.  The suspect was identified as Doyle Scott, 48 of Hot Springs.  Mr. Scott was also identified as a convicted felon with previous charges of possessing firearms as a felon, which is illegal in Arkansas.

Mr. Scott was allegedly slurring his speech, spoke in coherently and smelled of intoxicants.  Off. Murray arrested Mr. Scott and allegedly found him to be in possession of a .45 caliber pistol yet again.

Mr. Scott was transported to the Garland County Detention Center and booked in.  His charges include Public Intoxication and Felony Possession Of A Firearm By Certain Persons with a bond totaling $5,500.
