Arkansas State Police Trooper First Class Wingo investigated a single vehicle injury crash on Springwood Road at the Windamere Street Intersection late Monday Night.
Evidence at the suggested that the westbound car exited the right side of the pavement while negotiating a turn. The vehicle entered the grassy roadside, struck a tree, a natural gas main and some type of water utility fixture.
Natural gas was leaking from the damaged gas main. It appeared to be a minor leak.
The Garland County Sheriff’s Patrol arrived quickly and assisted as necessary.
70 West Fire & Rescue Troops arrived quickly and assisted as necessary.
LifeNet dispatched an Ambulance Crew to the scene. They met with the patient, but it is unclear to me if that injured person went to the hospital.
Centerpoint Energy Troops came out and shut off the gas flow. It is unclear to me whether a utility company came out for the water fixture damage.
Traffic flow was interrupted for at least an hour.
