Evidence at the scene suggested that the vehicle was traveling east on Lakeshore Drive when it exited the right side of the pavement and fell down a steep cliff.  On the way down the cliff, the vehicle overturned and came to final rest upside down in a dry creek bed.

Hot Springs Fire & Rescue Troops were quick to arrive.  They jumped down the cliff and immediately began working to free the driver.  They were on scene only a few minutes before the driver was out of the car.

LifeNet Ambulance Troops jumped down in to the creek bed as well.  They met with the driver and looked him over.  It is unknown to me whether he was transported by ambulance to the hospital.

Traffic flow was interrupted for approximately 1 hour.
