Garland County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputy Morgan investigated a single vehicle crash where a white car departed the pavement and crashed into the tree line this week.

Evidence at the scene suggested that the vehicle was out of control prior to exiting the right side of the pavement, rotating, colliding with trees and coming to final rest just inside the woods.  The 911 caller advised that this was a rollover crash, but I was not able to confirm that.

Piney Fire & Rescue Troops arrived quickly and assisted as necessary.

LifeNet dispatched an Ambulance Crew to the scene.  They met with the occupants of the car, but did not transport.

Traffic flow was interrupted for approximately 40 minutes.  Interesting side note: at 1 point, a vehicle approaching the scene stopped in the middle of the road.  The driver jumped out and ran into the woods leaving the vehicle parked in the middle of the road.  The vehicle was towed and somebody had to walk home…or call for a ride with no signal out there in the wilderness.
