On November 30, the Hot Springs Police Department answered a request for security assistance after a male suspect attempted a robbery at the Kroger’s Pharmacy on 215 Airport Road.
Taylor Lewis, 32, of Owensville Cutoff Road in Lonsdale, gave the pharmacist a list of controlled substances and stated that she had a minute and a half to give him the drugs. The pharmacist told him that it would take longer for her to gather the drugs.
Lewis then reached over the counter and attempted to open the half door entrance to the pharmacy area which made an alert go off over the loudspeakers.
Lewis then left the business fleeing on foot into the wooded area next to the business. Hot Springs Police Troops used K9, Bear, to locate Lewis in the wooded area behind 207 Airport Road.
Lewis was arrested and transported to Garland County Detention Center. He was charged with aggravated robbery. He was also charged with theft of property valued less than $1,000 for a robbery at Circle K on the same day.
Lewis entered a plea of not guilty on December 2, and a no contact order was issued with Kroger’s and two of the victims. Further court proceedings will be held later.
