Another Parolee Allegedly With Meth? No Way; Felony Arrest – HOT SPRINGS

All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.

Hot Springs Police Detective Branstetter conducted a traffic stop on a grey 2004 Honda Accord at the intersection of Second and South Streets last week.

Det. Carver made contact with the driver, Gavin Suede Carver, 24, of Garland Avenue in Hot Springs.  Mr. Carver’s information was run through the police computer and it was discovered that Mr. Carver was on parole at the time with a search waiver on file.

The report says that Parolee Carver appeared to be very nervous with a shaky voice.  He was allegedly having trouble explaining why he was in the area and difficulty keeping up with the statements he was making.

Officers had Parolee Carver exit the vehicle and they took him up on his search waiver offer.  Officers searched the car and allegedly located a black torch lighter, a used syringe and .4 grams of meth.  Parolee Carver was arrested and searched.  2 more syringes were allegedly found in his pocket.

Parolee Carver was transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.  He is charged with Felony Possession Of Meth and Felony Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia x4 with a bond amount totaling $12,500.
