Hot Springs Police Detective Scott and HSPD Detective Branstetter report the following:
On 09/06/19 officers with the Hot Springs Police Department and the Department of Arkansas Community Corrections conducted a residence verification check for Level 3 sex offender, Sean Bosley, at his listed residence of 134 Cenark Lane.
On 03/04/19 Bosley came to the Hot Springs Police Department to verify his information to be in compliance with the reporting and registration requirements for the Sex Offender Registration Act of 1997.
Bosley completed that verification and initialed and signed [the] paperwork thereby agreeing to the registration requirements. Bosley also stated that he had deleted all of his social media accounts and applications on this date.
While conducting Bosley’s address verification, he stated that he had several undisclosed social media accounts and applications that he did not disclose including four (4) accounts on Twitter, three (3) accounts on Instagram, a “Grindr” application and a “Growlr” application used for sending sexually explicit photos.
Bosley admitted to recently accessing those applications as recent as one week ago. Bosley also stated that approximately one week ago, he was at 300 Werner Street, St. Vincent Hospital, because he had an argument with his roommate. Bosley stated that he used his roommate’s cell phone to communicate with an unknown male. During the conversation Bosley stated that he discovered the male was a sixteen year old male and continued communicating with him.
After continuing to communicate, Bosley then sent a sexually explicit photograph in the bathroom of his penis to the male, and then also received a sexually explicit photograph from the male exposing his penis. Bosley stated that after he sent the sixteen year old a photograph of his face, the sixteen year old “blocked” him and stated that Bosley wasn’t his “type”.
Bosley made several statements (Pre-Miranda) of viewing pictures and communicating with a juvenile male. Post Miranda, Bosley confirmed the same statements.
Convicted Sex Offender Bosley was arrested at his house and transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing. He is charged with felony Failre To Comply With Reporting And Registration Requirements and Felony Distributing, Possessing, Or Viewing Of Matter Depicting Sexually Explicit Conduct Involving A Child, with a bond amount totaling $75,000.
