All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.
Hot Springs Police Officer Stockwell reports officers with his department were dispatched to a motel in the 1200 block of Central Avenue on July 22, 2020, around 9PM, for the complaint of a domestic battery that had just taken place. A report was taken.
The victim said that her boyfriend, Dino Weatherford, 52, of East Grand Avenue in Hot Springs, was still in the motel room that she had rented. She went on to describe how he struck her in the eye with a closed fist, struck her in the hand with a wooden sword and broke a porcelain pot over her head.
The victim had injuries consistent with her story.
Officers knocked on the door to the motel room with high enthusiasm, but got no answer. The room was rented to the victim. So, she was able to get the door opened.
Officers entered the room and saw that Mr. Weatherford had broken a window and fled out of it. In the room, officers located a wooden sword and a broken porcelain pot on the floor.
Officers obtained a warrant for the arrest of Mr. Weatherford and entered it into the police computer.
On March 6, 2021, around 6PM, HSPD Officers responded to a disturbance at another local motel.. CLICK HERE for details. Officers handling that call came into contact with Mr. Weatherford. He was arrested on the outstanding warrant and transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.
Mr. Weatherford is charged with Domestic Battery with bond set at $1,000.
