Allegedly: Chases His Own Mother With A Knife; Felony Arrest – HOT SPRINGS

All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.

Hot Springs Police Officer Wilson reports that he was dispatched to a residence on Fox Street for the report of Domestic Aggravated Assault.

Ofc. Wilson arrived and made contact with the victim who stated that her son came over to get some clothes.  The suspect, Aaron Wallace Jones, 24, of Fox Street in Hot Springs, became irate towards her during the visit.  The victim and her mother exited the residence.  Mr. Jones came from the residence a short time after; holding a knife in an aggressive manner and chased the victim around a vehicle until an unidentified friend of Mr. Jones grabbed and held him.

Mr. Jones calmed down and went back into the residence with the friend.  Mr. Jones came outside again and attempted to attack the victim once more, but his friend held him and escorted him to a vehicle.  Mr. Jones threw the knife down in the yard.

Mr. Jones admitted to police that he had been involved in an altercation on at this address, but refused to provide any further information.  He also stated that he had thrown his pocket knife down on the ground.

Mr. Jones was arrested and transported to the Garland County Detention Center For Processing.  He is charged with Felony Aggravated Assault On A Household Or Family Member.
