Hot Springs Police Corporal Rostan reports that he was dispatched to the 300 block of Quapaw Avenue for the call of trespassing on September 7th, 2020 at approximately 10:24pm.
Officers arrived and saw a female, later identified as Parolee Amber Lynn Martin, 45, of Little River 39 in Ogden, walking quickly and pushing a stroller down an alley and away from the scene. Officers walked down the alley and saw Parolee Martin getting into a camper behind an uninhabited building.
Officers located the stroller which appeared to have been thrown. Two bags that fell out of the stroller were discovered by officers. A zip lock bag containing meth (approximately 0.6g) and a second plastic bag containing meth (approximately 0.2g) were located in plain view. Officers then made contact with Parolee Martin in the camper.
A check of Parolee Martin’s pertinents confirmed that she was an active parolee with a search waiver on file. She also had active warrants for Felony Theft Of Property, Fraudulent Use Of A Credit/Debit Card, and Failure To Appear x2 out of Hot Springs. Parolee Martin was arrested.
Parolee Martin said the two bags in the stroller were hers. The two bags containing meth appeared to have fallen out of the side pocket of one of those bags. A meth pipe was found in that side pocket. An eye glass case containing two broken meth pipes and a blood-filled syringe were found in the main compartment of the bag. A set of digital scales were also located in the second bag that was found at the stroller.
Parolee Martin was transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing. She is charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine With Purpose To Deliver and Felony Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia. A parole hold was placed on her with no bond set.
