All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.
Hot Springs Police Officer Jones reports that officers were dispatched to an apartment complex on Terry Street yesterday around 3AM for the call of a group of people breaking into vehicles in the parking lot.
Officers arrived and saw 1 suspect running from the parking lot. Police chased him down and used some degree of physical force to effect the arrest. The suspect identified himself, but it was bogus info. Jaqwese Devantakiestan Walker, 19, of West 65TH STREET in Little Rock, was soon identified by officers.
At least 3 vehicles had been hit by the thief(s). Prescription bottles (pills unknown, if any) and $100 in cash were missing from the vehicles, according to the victims. 1 of the victims did not press charges.
As the suspect was running away from officers, he threw bags which were recovered. The 2 pill bottles and several shotgun shells were found in the bags.
Mr. Walker was transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing. He is charged with Felony Breaking Or Entering x2, Fleeing, Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, Theft Of Property x2, Obstructing Governmental Operations bond was initially set at $10,500. A Failure To Comply arrest warrant was also served on him at the jail.
