Hot Springs Police Officer Ward reports that he was on duty near Central Avenue on January 9 around 7:21 am and saw a blue Jeep Cherokee swerving on the road.

Ofc. Ward conducted a traffic stop on the Jeep and contacted the driver, Cynthia Brown, 47, of Reed Street in Hot Springs. Ms. Brown said she didn’t have a valid driver’s license.

Ofc. Ward ran Ms. Brown’s information through his police computer and found that she had a search waiver on file (for reason unknown to me). Ofc. Ward searched Ms. Brown and found a small scale and empty clear baggies inside of her purse. Ofc. Ward also searched Ms. Brown’s vehicle and found a small clear baggie containing 1.8 grams of methamphetamine. Ms. Brown was arrested and transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.

Ms. Brown is charged with Felony Possession Of A Controlled Substance and Felony Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $5,000.
