All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.
Hot Springs Police Detective Scott reports that officers with his department were dispatched to a residence on Lakeland Drive on December 3, 2020 around 5:30PM for the call of a stabbing that had just taken place.
Officers arrived quickly and found the male victim inside his residence suffering from multiple stab wounds on his face, neck and hands. The victim told police that he was sitting at his computer when Brandon Lee Trefry-Nicks, 24, of Mountain Pine Road in Mountain Pine, (family friend spending the night) came up behind him unprovoked, placed a hand over his mouth and pulled his head back exposing his neck. Then, began stabbing the victim’s neck several times. When the victim realized what was happening, a fight broke out between the 2.
Mr. Trefry-Nicks said “isn’t this a nice way to go out” and then departed the residence on foot with the knife.
The report mentions that the suspect may have experienced a mental break and was not located that day. A warrant for the suspect’s arrest was obtained and entered into the police computer.
Mr. Trefry-Nicks is charged with Felony Battery with bond initially set at $50,000.
