All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.
Hot Springs Police Officer First Class Davis reports that he was dispatched to WalMart on Albert Pike Road September 12, 2021, around 9PM, for the complaint of theft.
While en route to WalMart, OFC Davis spotted a man matching the description of the suspect that had been given to him over the radio. He stopped and made contact with the man on Airport Road at Albert Pike Road. The suspect was identified as Chase Duane Fisher, 38, homeless in Hot Springs. Mr. Fisher was detained for investigation.
OFC Davis next went to WalMart and met with the complainant. He was provided a surveillance pic of the suspect from the store and was told that Mr. Fisher was observed pushing a cart around and concealing items into backpacks. The complainant watched Mr. Fisher go to several areas of the store with this routine. Mr. Fisher went to the Garden Patio part of the store…where the complainant was waiting. When Mr. Fisher saw him, he turned around and pushed the cart full of merchandise too the front of the store. Mr. Fisher and the cart passed all points of sale and exited the building into the front parking lot. The complainant approached Mr. Fisher to identify himself. Mr. Fisher abandoned the merchandise and walked away. That’s when OFC Davis came across him at the intersection.
The value of the merchandise removed from the store totals $1,197.61.
Mr. Fisher was arrested and transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.
Mr. Fisher is charged with Felony Theft Of Property with bond set at $2,500.
