Alleged: Passenger With A Dope Pipe; Felony Arrest – HOT SPRINGS

All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.

Hot Springs Police Corporal Z. Brown reports that he responded to assist another officer with a traffic stop in the 600 block of East Grand the day after Christmas around 7PM.

He was specifically assisting with the towing of a vehicle following an arrest.  Off. Brown made contact with the rear seat passenger, John Wesley Adams, 31, homeless in Hot Springs.  He had Mr. Adams step out of the vehicle.  As soon as he was out of the vehicle, officers saw a small, plastic dope pipe, with one end burnt, laying on the seat where Mr. Adams had been sitting.  Mr. Adams was arrested.  During the search of Mr. Adams, officers located a used syringe in his jacket pocket.

John Wesley Adams, 31, homeless in Hot Springs – Allegedly riding around town with a meth needle.

Mr. Adams was transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.  At the jail, Mr. Adams said that he is addicted to Meth and that the syringe was used to inject meth.  He is charged with Felony Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia with bond set at $5,000.
