Alleged: Passed Out Behind The Wheel With A Meth Pipe; Felony Arrest – HOT SPRINGS

All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.

Hot Springs Police Officer Israel reports that he was dispatched to the Mapco station on Central Avenue on August 7, 2020, around 1:45PM in reference to a welfare check that needed to be conducted on a man inside a parked vehicle on the property.

(Mugshot not available) Eric P. Seaton, 34, of Lakeland Drive in Hot Springs – allegedly found passed out with a meth pipe.

Off. Israel arrived and found a white Ford Ranger parked in a parking space with the man asleep in the driver’s seat and slumped over the steering wheel.  Off. Israel made several attempts to make contact with the man by tapping on the window, but the man did not wake up.  Off. Israel opened the driver’s door and announced himself.  Finally, Eric P. Seaton, 34, of Lakeland Drive in Hot Springs, woke up.

Off. Israel noticed a purple bowl stem pipe with crystalline burn residue consistent with smoking meth in his lap and in plain view.

Mr. Seaton was arrested and transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.  He is charged with Felony Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia with bond set at $2,500.
