Alleged: Parolee At City Park With Meth..9AM On A Saturday; Felony Arrest – HOT SPRINGS

All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.

Hot Springs Police Officer Moore was dispatched September 18, 2021, to -location redacted- for the complaint of theft of a motor vehicle.

While en route to that location, he saw a vehicle matching the description parked at Chattanooga Park.  He stopped and checked the vehicle.

While checking that vehicle, Off. Moore made contact with Jordan Ray Ward, 28, of West Markham Street in Little Rock.  Mr. Ward’s pertinents were checked through the police computer.  The check revealed that Mr. Ward was on parole and was wanted out of Hot Springs and the Arkansas Board of Parole.

Parolee Ward was arrested and transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.  During the booking process, jail staff searched the parolee’s backpack and discovered 2 baggies containing a total of approximately 1.4 grams of meth

Parolee Ward is charged with Felony Possession Of A Controlled Substance with bond set at $2,500 and the arrest warrants were served.
