All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.
Hot Springs Police Officers Larkin and Murray report that they were on patrol in the area of Valley Street around midnight on February 20,2020, when they found a black Dodge Charger displaying a fictitious license plate while driving on city streets. A traffic stop was conducted.
Contact was made with the driver, officers detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, the occupants were asked to exit the car and a search was conducted. Inside the vehicle, officers found: a loaded Taurus G2C 9mm pistol, digital scales, a partially burned marijuana blunt cigar, and 77 grams of marijuana.
Officers asked who these items belonged to. None of the occupants claimed the items. Evan Drake Johnson, 21, of Gerrard Terrace in Garland County, Corbin Vidal Wiggins, 19, of Highway 7 North in Jessieville, Dustin Edward Cole Black, 22, off Jewel Meeks Trail in Garland County and Payton Daniel Wicklund, 18, of Chisholm Trail in Garland County were all arrested and transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.
The 4 are each charged with Felony Simultaneous Possession Of Drugs And Firearms, Felony Possession Of A Controlled Substance With Intent To Deliver and Felony Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia and were initially being held with no bond.
