Garland County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputy Delahunt reports that he was dispatched to a residence in around the 6600 Block of Central Avenue July 17, 2021, around 7AM, for the call of a physical disturbance.

Dep. Delahunt arrived at the residence and made contact with the suspect, who was sitting inside a vehicle with a small juvenile.  He identified the suspects as Jill Nickole Guess, 27, of Central Avenue in Garland County.  She said that she was just trying to get her baby, leave and did not mean to hurt anyone.

Jill Nickole Guess, 27, of Central Avenue in Garland County – Allegedly got upset over her child and cell phone, then battered a 67 yr. old.

Dep. Delahunt made contact with the 67 year old victim.  The victim had a bruised nose, scratch on her face and was complaining of rib pain.  The victim said that she was awakened by her son and the suspect arguing.  The victim picked up the baby and went into another room.  The victim’s son went to work.  Ms. Guess was still highly upset and was demanding the baby be given to her.  The victim tried to get Ms. Guess to calm down, but she would not.

Ms. Guess called 911 because the victim would not turn the baby over to her.  The victim ultimately gave the baby to Ms. Guess and she put the baby in the car.  Ms. Guess came back in the house to find that the victim was talking to 911 on her (Ms. Guess’s) phone.  Ms. Guess threw the victim to the ground and began striking her in the face.  The victim refused medical treatment.

A witness, 69 years old, at the scene gave a statement very similar to that of the victim.

Ms. Guess was arrested.  Ms. Guess authorized the victim to take custody of the child while she went to jail.

Ms. Guess was transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.  She is charged with Felony Domestic Battery and was initially being held without bond.
