Alleged Midnight Thief Caught On Morphew Road; Felony Arrest – GARLAND COUNTY

All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.

Garland County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputy Cogburn was dispatched to Pebblegate Trail Wednesday Night around midnight, for the call for breaking & entering of a vehicle where the suspect allegedly attempted to enter the home when confronted by the homeowner.

According to the victim, he opened the front door of his home to find a man in his vehicle, that was parked in his driveway.  He told the suspect to get out of his car.  The suspect allegedly came out of the car and tried to enter the home through the front door.  The suspect ran from the property, but remained in the area.

Sheriff’s Patrol Units and an Arkansas State Police Trooper swarmed the area and located the man standing very near the victim’s home.  They made contact with the suspect and detained him for investigation.

The suspect, Edward Leon Gray, 38, of Highway 290 in Garland County, was arrested and transported to the Garland County Detention Center.  He is charged with Felony Breaking & Entering and Criminal Trespass with a bond amount totaling $3,000.
